South Veterans Parkway Project Segments
Overview
Veterans Parkway will be the same as the section constructed north of Arrowhead Parkway. In general, the new roadway will consist of:
- Three lanes per direction
- A 32-foot raised median separating the travel lanes
- Shared use path along the south side of the Parkway
- Grass boulevard separating the path from the roadway
The speed limit along Veterans Parkway will be posted at 50 mph.

Cliff Avenue to Sycamore Avenue

Pedestrian underpasses will be installed between:
- Cliff Avenue and Southeastern Avenue
- Southeastern Avenue and Sycamore Avenue

ADA-compliant traffic signals will be installed at the
intersections of Veterans Parkway and:
- Southeastern Avenue
- Sycamore Avenue
- An overpass will be installed at the BNSF railroad.
Design (Future Construction)
Note: Design for segments not under construction are not final and are subject to change.
I-29 to Western Avenue
Design: Anticipated design complete in summer 2023.
Construction Timeline: Construction anticipated 2026 - 2027.

Western Avenue to Cliff Avenue
Components
- A pedestrian underpass was installed west of Minnesota Avenue.
- Traffic signals at Western Avenue, Minnesota Avenue, and Cliff Avenue are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Construction Timeline
- Construction Begins spring 2023
- Dirt Work, Utilities and road work on Cliff Avenue during spring 2023
- Road Work from winter 2023 through the fall 2024
